Daytrips: The seaside!

A couple of weeks ago Mark & I, mumma bear, Willow, Zenobia, Kayleigh and Indigo all went to the seaside (Ingoldmells) for the day. The twins (Phoebe & Phoenix) were on holiday at the seaside with our lovely friend Bronwen, so we all met up and spent a wonderful day together. It involved sunshine, rollercoasters, dodgems, slushies, hot cafe food, buying rock, the market, arcade machines, sand in our shoes, walking along the sea, building sandcastles and seeing the amazingly beautiful moon on the journey home. Oh, and of course a delightfully tacky seaside portrait where we didn't realise the photo was being taken!

All photos were taken with my 36mm film lomography camera & some are double exposed.

Where is your local seaside? I always miss the sea when I get home!

  1. This looks like such a lovey day out Hannah! I love the way these photos look too - it looks so cool on your blog too - all the different angles make it look so effective!
Also, how cool are the names of your family members? It makes mine look boring haha xxx

  2. I don't really have a local seaside anymore, but when I was younger I used to go for daytrips to Southport and Blackpool on occasion! A seagull once stole my chips! xxx

  8. These photos look so retro & fun! And I love the double exposed ones. Seeing the one in the arcade is really making me miss the 2p machines, I could've spent all day waiting for the money to drop haha! xo

  9. This is so British, I love it! Really hoping for a warm Summer this year so I can make a trip to the English seaside for once! Admittedly I mainly want to go just to play on those coin pusher arcade machines. Anyway the photos turned out great. Love the lens flare and of course the double exposure looks very cool.

  11. What a perfectly perfect day! And the photos are just super pretty! I love the effect of them. And I love that last photo- it totally reminds me of a photo I took with my family on a ride in California Adventure theme park (right across from Disneyland)... we had no idea there was a camera that was going to take our picture so we all came out looking confused and in different directions, it was hilarious! :)

P.S. I keep intending to email you for your current mailing address but just haven't had time. Will do so ASAP! :) xxx

  13. What a pretty family! It looks like you had an amazing time. I love the carnival and beaches. The double exposure images are lovely and I had a little giggle at Sid the sloth. I saw somewhere that everyone knows someone that looks like Sid the Sloth (think about it!). I can relate to this, *cough* ex boyfriend.
